möchte keinen roman über diese cd schreiben jeder der bob marley kennt ist mit diesem album bestens vertraut aber diese de luxe edition ist sehr zu empfehlen

Muddy good stuff

The "Deluxe Edition" of the Legend compilation does not only include the English version of the album but also the remixes of the American one. And -blessing of Jah!- what a very fine and truly rare discovery (at least, for me as a huge fan of the Wailers who only had known the English version before)!! You can hear simply the best of dubbing on most (and later added guitar or organ soli on a few) of the "American" tracks, and listen to the timeless classics on the other hand. One of the biggest (and finest) surprises is certainly the "American" remix of "Buffalo Soldier" - a rocking and soaring number that is said to be very close to the extremely rare original track Bob Marley cut with the help of the song`s co-writer and old colleague N.G. Williams (aka "Kong Spotty") back in 1978.
On the whole, the "Delux Edition" of the Legend is a surprising and superb classic that must NOT (on no account!) be missed by any fan of The Wailers`or Reggae music. But why, for heaven`s sake, did Island records not include the unbelievably beautiful "Live" version of "No Woman No Cry" on the American release, too, but a rather strange remix of the original version, instead? - Simon Füchtenschnieder, October 2002

In dieser gelungenen Zusammenstellung der größten Hits der Wailers, dürfte jeder Bob Marley Fan bestens bedient sein.Die bekanntesten Lieder, die von Unterdrückung und Freiheit handeln sind auf dieser CD gesammelt!Diese angenehmen und gemütlichen Reggae-Songs machen einem automatisch gute Laune und sie nehmen nicht in der Qualität ab, jeder Song ist auf eine andere Art und Weise gut!
Mein Fazit:Für jeden Reggae und Bob Marley Fan ist diese Doppel-CD Packung ein Muss, auch Leute die entspannende, angenehme Musik, oder intilligente Texte mögen, dürften hier gut bedient sein!

The Best Bob Marley Compilation Ever!!

The name says it all...Legend!!
This cd contains some of the best songs Bob ever sang in his life time. I will advice every true reggae fan to own. It may digitized and slightly modified to appeal to everyone (reggae and non-reggae fans alike) but it's still worth every cent it costs. If u truly love Reggae, u should own this CD.
To the non-reggae fans who are thinking of buying it, dont think anymore; just buy it!
And if u hear for the first time and you don't like it, listen to it again.
